Bringing Hope Through Clean Water in Kisenyi Village

How access to safe water is changing lives in rural Uganda.

For years, families in Kisenyi village relied on unsafe water sources, leading to frequent outbreaks of waterborne diseases such as cholera and typhoid. Children often missed school due to illness, and women had to walk long distances to fetch water, leaving little time for other responsibilities.

In 2025, the Future Africa Initiative launched a clean water project in Kisenyi, installing a solar-powered borehole and a community-managed water system. Today, over 300 households have access to safe and clean drinking water. The impact has been remarkable: fewer cases of illness, improved school attendance, and stronger community resilience.

Mary, a mother of three, shared her gratitude: “Before this project, we feared for our children’s health every day. Now, we drink clean water without worry. It has given us new hope.”

Conclusion / CTA:
At Future Africa Initiative, we believe access to clean water is a basic right, not a privilege. Together with our partners and supporters, we are committed to reaching more communities with safe water solutions.
